Lenn Hammond: New Singles Headed Your Way
With a sophomore album in the works and live performances keeping
Lenn Hammond active, one would think that he wouldn't have the time to fit in another single. In fact, that's not the case at all - he has five singles and a video headed your way.
That's right lover's rock reggae fans! Lenn Hammond's Jamaican releases for FiWi Music, Massive Jay Recording, Tuff Riddim Records, Bawl Platt Productions, and Kirkledove Records are streamlining to North America.
The newest recording for FiWi, 'Put It On', exhibits the vocalist's maturity and the artist's capabilities on both sides of the microphone engineering his own vocals. 'Put It On' is a solid production and will be available in stores at the end of the month.
Never standing still, Lenn continues to work with a variety of the best and emerging producers in Reggae.
Recorded for Massive Jay Recording, 'Lucky One' is a candid account of how one desirable woman's entrance into a room suddenly changes its dynamics. In his unmistakable falsetto, Hammond reveals who, among the vying admirers, is the 'Lucky One' . The single and the video, have been receiving increasingly more rotation on radio and television in Jamaica.
Meanwhile, in his next single, 'If A Did Know' [Tuff Riddim Records], produced by Phanso and Duke for Gumption Productions, Lenn narrates the tale of a timid, yet scheming female admirer. Recorded on a remake of the Israelites Rhythm, Hammond rides the riddim in perfect harmony, never missing a beat or skipping a note.
Whether "it's too much mileage on the car" or not enough, 'Tell Me All About it' [Bawl Platt Productions] warns cheating hearts that their partners are wise to their secrets. It's Hammond's insight into relationships that garners his appeal among women and men alike.
Finally, Kirkledove Records, one of Jamaica's newest labels, recently recorded Lenn on their 'Livity Rhythm' produced by Kirk Bennett.
'Over and Out' describes the emotional tug of war a couple faces when ending their relationship. However, there's no end in sight for the relationship between Lenn Hammond and his fans in 2004 and beyond.
2004 promises more LENN HAMMOND on the market!
